Instruments

Instrumental instruction is scheduled year-round: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass, Guitar, Harp, Voice, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Organ, Harpsichord, Recorder, Lute, Drum, Music Theory.

Voice

Private instruction in Voice is scheduled year-round. Training is designed to improve all aspects of vocal technique including vocal range, tone quality, breath control, projection, performance techniques, vocal health. Students are encouraged to discuss individual objectives and repertoire with their teacher.

Music Theory & Ear Training Lab

Provides essential instruction in the fundamentals of music, from beginning through advanced concepts. Provides preparation for optional graded Music Theory Certification exams offered by Associated Board of the Royal School of Music. Ages 10 & up.  Conservatory students enrolled in a full 18-lesson semester of private music lessons receive a partial scholarship for Group Music Theory classes.

Conservatory Youth Chorus - ages 8 - 18

Chorus provides group vocal training and performance opportunities to children ages 8 to 18. Singing experience is not necessary to join the Chorus. Emphasis is placed on vocal training, music theory and development of musical skills. Chorus rehearsals are Mondays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. or on Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Chorus tuition is $150 for each 15-week semester. Conservatory students enrolled in a full 18-lesson semester of private music lessons may participate in chorus as a free student benefit. The Chorus performs in the Fall and Spring semesters at the Conservatory.

Children's Chorus - ages 5 - 7

The Children's Chorus provides the opportunity for children ages 5 to 7 to learn to sing and develop musical skills. Singing experience is not neccessary to join the chorus. The Chorus will meet on Saturdays from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Chorus tuition is $150 for each 15-week semester. Conservatory students enrolled in a full 18-lesson semester of private music lessons may participate in Chorus as a free student benefit. The Chorus will perform in the Fall and Spring semesters at the Conservatory.
